- Account information: Full name, email address, phone number (optional), and password (stored as a secure hash).
- Profile information: Bio, skills, portfolio items, profile photo, and account type (client/freelancer).
- Identity verification: Government-issued ID (Aadhaar, PAN, Passport, etc.) — collected only for withdrawal verification.
- Payment information: Bank account number and IFSC code for withdrawal processing. We do not store full card numbers.
- Usage data: Pages visited, actions taken, bids placed, projects posted, and messages sent on the platform.
- Device and log data: IP address, browser type, device type, and timestamps of actions.
2. How We Use Your Information
Your information is used to:
- Operate and improve the DJN platform and its features
- Process payments, milestones, and withdrawals securely
- Verify your identity before enabling withdrawals
- Send transactional emails (project alerts, payment notifications, verification emails)
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms & Conditions
- Provide customer support and resolve disputes
- Comply with legal obligations under Indian law
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We share data only in the following limited circumstances:
- With other users: Your public profile (name, skills, bio, reviews) is visible to other DJN users. Payment details are never shared publicly.
- With service providers: We use trusted third-party services (e.g., Google OAuth, email providers, payment processors) who are bound by data protection agreements.
- For legal compliance: We may disclose data if required by Indian law, a court order, or to prevent fraud or harm.
4. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data is removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., transaction records for tax purposes).

We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, password hashing (bcrypt), and secure escrow payment processing. However, no online platform can guarantee 100% security. Please use a strong, unique password for your DJN account.
